2014 Manischewitz All-Stars Contest
Today the 2014 Manischewitz All-Stars Contest was held in New York City. What an outstanding event! This contest is the perfect example of a good, old-fashioned cook-off. There was a huge crowd of supporters there to cheer on the contestants and even a tasting of each of the finalist recipes!
Three Cooking Contest Central members competed for the $25,000 prize. Jamie Brown-Miller, Naylet LaRochelle and Ronna Farley are all prior finalists who were invited back to submit original recipes for a change to win the coveted prize.
All recipes had to be a new cook-off submission, adhere to kosher guidelines, be prepared in under an hour, and have no more than 9 ingredients which must include one of the Manischewitz All-Natural Broth flavors, plus one additional Manischewitz product.

Jamie Brown-Miller is announced the winner of $25,000!!! She could hardly contain her excitement during this emotional moment.
When it’s an All-Star Contest everyone is a winner! Everyone should be so proud of their outstanding recipes.
Post-win Jamie handles the media spotlight like a pro.

Jamie, you’re in Napa?! I’m not too far away here in Fair Oaks (Sacramento). My boyfriend and I go there once a year…would love to cross paths sometime 😀
It was such a wonderful competition, and exactly what Kristina mentioned….”a good old-fashioned cook off!” That is what I love about this hobby! Ronna, it was nice to see you again. Jamie, it was great to meet you! Not only are you a great home cook, but you have such a warm personality. Amanda thought you and Ronna were such sweethearts! It was great to stand by the both of you and compete. I think we all did a great job! CONGRATULATIONS to you, Jamie, for bringing home a win. Your recipe was not only delicious but creative. Kristina, thanks for making it out there, supporting us, and cheering us on! Great recipes! How do we compete in next years?
CCC will post when the entry time starts. It’s limited to nine ingredients, must be Kosher, using a broth and another one of their products. It is a fun cook off! Hope you enter next time!
