Blackberry Orange Cream Cheese Strudel

Tart fresh blackberries, sweet orange marmalade and cream cheese filling make a perfect strudel for breakfast or brunch or any time of the day!

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Bonne Maman Orange Marmalade
  • 6 ounces fresh blackberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line 13x9 baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking sheet.
  2. Unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Roll into 16x12 inch rectangle. Brush lightly with beaten egg.
  3. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Spread jelly over middle third of puff pastry with a spoon. Add cream cheese mixture and spread again over middle third of pastry sheet. Sprinkle blackberries over cream cheese mixture.
  4. Using scissors, cut one-inch cuts into pastry on the left and right side of puff pastry square. Fold each one-inch piece towards the middle. (Use photo as a guide, super easy to do!)
  5. Place filled pastry until lined baking sheet and brush lightly with egg. Bake for 27-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool about 5 minutes on baking sheet and then move to a wire rack to cool for about 45 minutes. Serve at room temperature or even cold.
