It only takes three easy ingredients to make these family loved appetizers and the results are amazing.
Ingredients
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
- 10 slices bacon, cut in half
- 10 slices hearty sliced white bread, crusts removed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil (for easy clean up!). Place a baking rack on top of the baking sheet.
- Spread each slice of bread with a layer of cream cheese. Roll up each bread jelly roll style. Cut each in half to make 20 pieces.
- Wrap each bread piece with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on baking rack.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bacon is cooked and bread ends are golden brown. Cool slightly before serving (filling is too hot right out of the oven).
Notes
The bread crusts can be cut up and toasted to make croutons
