2005 REDWOOD CREEK CAMPFIRE
CLASSIC RECIPE CONTEST
 
This was the first annual Redwood Creek Campfire Classic Recipe Contest. You were asked to toss your skillet "onto the fire" and turn a casual campsite meal into an unforgettable, epicurean experience. For those of us accustomed to the comfort and convenience of our modern kitchen, it was a chance to re-live those days of yesteryear.
 

Imagine tossing out your top of the line range,
sub-zero fridge, food processor, mixer, etc.
and going back to basics with a campfire.
WOW what a challenge that must have been.

Once again the contestant dinner
was an opportunity to meet new friends
 
Contestants anxiously checked with the judges
for word on "who won". Our own CCC members
Lorie Roach and Mary Beth Harris-Murphree
were 2 of the five finalists. Lorie went on to win
the Grand Prize of $10,000.
