2012 Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Recipe Challenge

Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Grand Prize Winners enjoyed a weekend of food, fun and flavor! Twelve winners (one for each flavor) included CCC member Nikki Norman (FL / TN) for her Apple Spiced Cinnamon Roll Sundaes.

Grand Prize winners were flown to NYC and transported to Parsippany, NJ on Friday, June 1, 2012. Upon arrival at the Courtyard Marriott Parsippany everyone enjoyed afternoon refreshments. Friday evening included a drive to charming Bedminster, NJ for a cocktail party and dinner at Delicious Heights with Duncan Hines chefs, product development, marketing, and public relations professionals.

Saturday morning the VIBs (Very Important Bakers) were welcomed by a red carpet and massive display of balloons at the new Pinnacle Foods headquarters where the Dunkin Hines Test Kitchens are located. An event-packed day included a technique and decorating workshop with a Dunkin Hines Pastry Chef, opportunities to experience how new products and new flavors come to life with the Product Development staff / Food Scientists, Marketing and Public Relations professionals; plus an in-dept tour of Pinnacle Foods state of the art facilities.

Professional photo shoots and video interviews were sandwiched between activities, along with a buffet luncheon featuring a Duncan Hines professional chefโ€™s โ€œtwistโ€ on each winning entry. After a sweet farewell Saturday afternoon, transportation began to NYC for fights home.

Shipped to the winners following the event were gift boxes brimming with an assortment of Wiltonโ€™s latest cake decorating products, plus the Duncan Hinesโ€™ pastry chefโ€™s favorite professional pastry book.

โ€œThe contest provided a two-day culinary adventure filled with unique experiencesโ€, says CCC member Nikki Norman.
