Ready for some “Moolah”?!
Right now, many CCC members are on pins and needles waiting for the first round of Pillsbury Bake-Off results. After weeks of stressful voting (with more to come!) I thought it was a good time to lighten the mood and have a little foodie fun.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce to you “Moolah” the official good luck mascot of Cooking Contest Central!
As you can see, Moolah is a “cash cow.” She might pop up now and then here on CCC, maybe on the Facebook or Twitter pages. Probably on Instagram and Pinterest too. You can feel free to share her picture on your blogs and social media as well – she’s not shy.
The best part? Moolah brings good luck!
Let me tell you a little backstory about Moolah. Back when I was in high school (during the height of the Beanie Baby phenomenon) I was involved in our theatre department. As you may know, actors are highly superstitious. Besides never uttering “Macbeth” in a theater and always offering the classic “break a leg” to our fellow cast members, we came up with another tradition. Before walking out on stage for a show, everyone had to kiss a little pink piglet Beanie Baby aptly named “The Love Sausage.” Needless to say after years of shows and hundreds of actors, our poor little love sausage was covered in stage makeup!
When I came upon this cow Beanie Baby, I figured she would be the perfect good luck mascot for all of us contesters. Winning a national recipe contest takes culinary skill, lots of hard work, and sometimes, just a bit of luck. Next time you need a little boost, remember you have the CCC “cash cow” on your side!

Lovin’ the Cash Cow “good luck” mascot named Moolah for CCC” I’ll be sharing her everywhere as a token of my good luck token for all Cooking Contest ventures!!! Let’s hear it for MOOLAH!!!
