Vietnamese Steak Sandwich
This Vietnamese Steak Sandwich is not only beautiful, but delicious! This recipe has wonderful flavor and is very easy to make by combing steak and Mann’s Broccoli Cole Slaw that results in a super steak sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce, plus 1 tbsp
- 1/2 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar, plus 2 tbsp
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp dark sesame oil, plus 2 tsp
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lb top sirloin steak, cut diagonally across the grain into thin slices
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 12 oz bag Mann's Broccoli Cole Slaw
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 6 rolls, toasted
Instructions
- In a bowl combine brown sugar, 3 tbsp soy sauce, hot sauce, 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar, ginger, 1 tsp sesame oil and garlic. Transfer to a resealable plastic bag. Add steak slices. Refrigerate and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk together 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar, 2 tsp sesame oil and crushed red pepper flakes. Add the broccoli cole slaw and toss to coat. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place steak strips into the skillet and cook 5 minutes on each side, to desired doneness.
- Fill the toasted buns with equal amounts of steak strips and top with a heaping spoonfuls of the broccoli cole slaw.
