This is a delicious, fruity smoothie with a creamy texture that makes a perfect breakfast or post-workout snack. It is chock full of nutrition such as folate, vitamin C, protein from the Greek yogurt, calcium, potassium, and heart healthy fats from the avocado. You won’t even taste the spinach, but you will get all the benefits!

Ingredients

  • 1 kiwi, peeled and halved
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach, tightly packed
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup frozen or fresh mango chunks
  • 6 ounces vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup reduced sugar orange juice or pineapple juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey, to taste
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender, starting on low speed and gradually increasing speed until the mixture is thoroughly combined. Continue to blend for an extra 30-45 seconds until very smooth. Pour into two large glasses and serve.
