Earlier this year, we held the first ever Cooking Contest Central “Members Only” recipe contest.  It was a huge hit and there were five outstanding winners.  (You can read all about it here.)

I think it’s time we held another contest just for members…don’t you think?!  I am excited to offer a new recipe contest for our members along with a bit of new technology to streamline the entry process!

Just today CCC launched a new tab on the homepage, “Recipes.”  This is an archive of recipes submitted by our award-winning membership.  Anytime we hold an in-house contest the recipes you upload will be housed right here.  That way you can browse all the mouth-watering submissions!

Now, let’s talk about this contest!

For this contest we encourage you to get creative…very creative!  So often nowadays we hear the words “quick and easy” when it comes to a recipe contest.  Or maybe the sponsor product is a convenience ingredient.  That’s great, but sometimes we just like to cook and create with reckless abandon.  It’s so fun to try new flavor combinations or experiment with a new cooking technique.  Well, this time you can feel free to let those creative juices flow!

In the “Modernist Cuisine” tradition, you can enter any recipe that showcases an exciting cooking technique or maybe pushes the flavor envelope.  You can also submit recipes that are a modern take on a classic dish.  Whatever you do, don’t feel constrained!  Show us how you like to have fun in the kitchen.

Prize Details:

Grand Prize – One winner will receive a copy of the epic cookbook “Modernist Cuisine at Home.”

This 10 pound cookbook is filled with 456 pages of recipes and thousands of color photographs.  It comes as a two-volume set, including a wire-bound kitchen manual.  It is “the indispensable guide for anyone who is passionate about food and cooking.”

Contest Rules:  Recipes can fit any of the categories available on our website: appetizers, beverages, breads, breakfasts and brunches, desserts, grilling, holidays, main dishes, salads, side dishes, slow cooker recipes, or snacks.

Eligibility: Only members of Cooking Contest Central may enter this exclusive contest.  All recipes and photography must be your original work.

Photos:   Photos are not required for entry, but are highly encouraged!  Show off your decadent creations!

Judging: Recipes will be judged on taste (50%) and creativity (50%), by a third party food and recipe expert.
