A quick microwave banana foster make this decadent dessert doable!

Ingredients

  • Cookie Tart Crust:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1-1/2cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chocolate chips
  • Bananas Foster Filling:
  • 2 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 2/3 cup prepared instant banana pudding
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 bananas
  • 1/2 teaspoon amber Rum (optional)
  • Salted Caramel Apple Topping
  • 1 cup dehydrated/dried apples
  • Caramel sundae sauce
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon sea salt, or kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Make the cookie base: Preheat oven to 350. Spray large 9" tart shell with non-stick cooking spray
  2. Cream the butter with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract and beat until well incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the salt, baking powder, cinnamon, oats and flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the , beating just until incorporated. Add chocolate chips. Roll out onto floured surface to about ยผ inch.
  4. Press into tart shell. Bake in preheated oven for approximately 15- 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.
  5. Make the quick banana foster:. In a microwave safe bowl, cover and Cook bananas brown sugar and butter in microwave for about 2 minutes on high, stirring about ยฝ way through. Add rum a stir.
  6. Mix whipped cream and prepared banana pudding together and fold in quick banana foster. Spoon into prepared tart shell.
  7. Make Topping : Chop apples into small pieces and sprinkle over banana foster tart.
  8. Squirt Caramel Sauce over the tart and sprinkle salt over. Serve and enjoy
