Rich in calcium and offering 130% of daily suggested Vitamins C & A, my Green Goddess Smoothie delivers on fitness and flavor, combining bright notes and acidity from pineapple, kiwi and green zebra heirloom tomatoes with iron and magnesium packed spinach and swiss chard.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup loosely packed fresh Baby Spinach
  • 1/2 cup loosely packed Swiss Chard
  • 1 small Banana, frozen
  • 1/2 Pear, peeled and cored
  • 1/2 cup chopped Green Zebra or other green Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Kiwi, frozen; peeled
  • 3 - one inch length rounds of Cucumber
  • 5.3 ounce container Greek Yogurt, Pineapple flavored (Fruit on the Bottom Style) - "Superfood"
  • 1/2 cup chilled Water
  • 1/2 tsp fresh grated Ginger

Instructions

  1. First pulse ingredients in blender to break up the greens, then blend at puree speed until smooth and creamy. Serve in a chilled 16 ounce glass.

Notes

Keep all of your ingredients in the refrigerator so they are cold and/or where possible freeze them (as with the banana and kiwi) so you don't need to add ice to your smoothie.
