My two favorite cuisines are combined in these delicious sliders. Mexican flavored grass fed organic ground beef patties pairs wonderful with sweet hot Asian broccoli slaw. A combination that will have your taste buds throwing a Fiesta in your mouth!!! Amazingly, these appetizers are great for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • For the Black Sesame Broccoli Slaw:
  • 2 cups broccoli slaw
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 cup seedless cucumber, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon toasted Asian sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted black sesame seeds
  • For the patties:
  • 2 pounds fresh ground beef
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, finely choppped
  • 2 tablespoons mild taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup crushed lime flavored tortilla chips
  • 1/2 cup green onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • For the Chili Lime Sriracha Mayo:
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise with olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice and lime zest
  • 1-1/2 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili lime hot sauce
  • Other ingredients:
  • 12 mini slider buns

Instructions

  1. To make black sesame broccoli slaw, combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix together and set aside to pickle.
  2. To make patties, combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Handling the meat as little as possible to avoid compacting it, mix well. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and, using your hands, shape into patties about 3 1/2-inches wide. Cover and refrigerate until ready to grill.
  3. To make Chili Lime Sriracha Mayo, combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix together. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  4. Heat a gas grill to medium-high. When the grill is ready, spray the grill with olive oil cooking spray. Place the patties on the rack, cover, and cook, turning once, until done to preference, 3 to 5 minutes on each side. During the last few minutes of cooking, place the buns, cut side down, on the outer edges of the rack to toast lightly.
  5. To assemble Marvelous Mexi-Asian beef sliders, spread the cut sides of the buns with equal portions of the chili lime sriracha mayo. On each bun bottom, place a beef patty and equal portions of the black sesame broccoli slaw. Add the bun tops and serve. Serve any remaining chili lime sriracha mayo on the side for extra dipping.
