Oatmeal-Raisin Cookie Super Breakfast Smoothie

This smoothie is an awesome way to get in your sweet cookie craving and still get healthy benefits!
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond milk; divided
- 1/2 cup 1 minute oatmeal
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup crushed ice
- Whipped topping - optional
Instructions
- 1. Soften oatmeal in 1/2 cup almond milk for about 10 minutes.
- 2. In a blender container, mix the oatmeal, raisins, cinnamon, chia seeds, brown sugar, vanilla and the remaining milk. Pour in crushed ice.
- 3. Start blender on low and slowly increase to high speed. Allow to blend until you no longer hear the ice. About 45 seconds to a minute should be enough. It will depend on the power of your blender. Note: Turn blender off and open up the top and stir around with a spoon to check for any chunks that still need additional blending.
- 4. Pour into a tall glass and dollup with a spoonful of whipped topping if desired and sprinkle with additional cinnamon. Enjoy!
