Raspberry Rapture Sunrise Smoothie
Posted in: Beverages Tagged: SmoothieRecipeContest
I am always striving to make quick, healthy and delicious breakfast foods to get the kids out the door in the morning. I love this smoothie not only because my whole family loves it, but because it meets said criteria. Also, it’s a little out of the ordinary (which can be nice when you’re beholden to a routine). The fennel gives it an unexpected and exotic burst of licorice flavour, which pairs beautifully with the raspberry- pure rapture…
Ingredients
- 2 cups 1% milk
- 1 ½ cups (vanilla flavoured) almond milk
- 1/2 cup (vanilla flavoured) non fat greek yogurt
- 1 ½ teaspoon ground fennel seed
- ½ teaspoon vanilla powder
- 1/2 cup sweetened fine flaked coconut
- 2 cups frozen raspberries
- 2 Tablespooons ground chia seeds
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glass and enjoy!
Notes
This smoothie can also be made dairy free by substituting plain soy or almond milk for the 1% milk and substituting vanilla flavoured cultured coconut milk (So Delicious makes one)for the greek yogurt.
