Slainte – Irish Whisky Cocktails

Slainte means “Cheers” or “To Good Health” in Irish! This is a cocktail we made to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and remains a favorite for our I Forgot It’s Wednesday supperclubs!
Ingredients
- For the slainte cocktail,
- 2 ounce Irish whiskey
- 3/4 ounce cane syrup
- 3/4 cup Guiness
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 ounce lime juice
- 5 cardamom pods
- For the whiskey soaked raisins,
- 1 ounce Irish whiskey
- 2 Tablespoons raisins
Instructions
- Soak raisins in whiskey overnight.
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle cardamom in cane syrup.
- Add all other ingredients to shaker and dry shake without ice.
- Add ice to shaker.
- Shake and double strain into pre-chilled coupe rinsed with Guinness.
- Garnish with raisins.
