No one will guess this easy “Sugar Cookie and Chocolate Brownie Trifle” is made with mixes!

Ingredients

  • Dark Chocolate Brownie
  • Use your favorite brownie mix (I like Dark Chocolate Chunk Duncan Hines) Always use ONE egg and replace butter for the oil and milk for water. Under cook the brownie just slightly so it's nice and soft.
  • Sugar Cookie
  • Use your favorite sugar cookie recipe.
  • Pudding Whipped Cream
  • Your favorite instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Topping
  • Cherries (pitted)
  • Raspberries

Instructions

  1. Make your favorite brownie mix recipe but only use ONE egg, and replace butter for the oil, and milk for the water. Undercook just slightly so the brownie turns out more torte like.
  2. Make your favorite Sugar cookie recipe. You can make little cookies or just one big cookie. You will be assembling this all together in a trifle bowl so it really doesn't matter how you want to cook the cookies. I always prefer my cookies just a little under done so they are nice and soft! (but not gooey!)
  3. Make your instant vanilla pudding per instructions and then gently fold in 1 cup of whipped cream and 1 tablespoon vanilla bean. (I like the powder but the extract is fine too.)
  4. To assemble your trifle: Place a layer of brownie on the bottom. Then add a layer of Pudding Whipped Cream. Spread a few berries and cherries on top. Next add a layer of sugar cookies. Spread a layer of Pudding whipped cream on top. Layer with fresh berries and cherries. Repeat until you get to the top of your trifle bowl. For beautiful look, spread the berries and cherries around the perimeter and add a pretty design using a brownie (or cookie)...I used a brownie for the picture.
