Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 Tablespoons Bonne Maman Orange Marmalade
  • 1 cup canned crushed pineapple, drained completely
  • 2 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a 13x9 baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Drain pineapple completely and then using cheesecloth or a thin kitchen towel, squeeze as much liquid as possible from the crushed pineapple. Unfold puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and lightly brush with beaten egg. Spread the orange marmalade evenly over the surface using a spoon. Sprinkle surface with crushed pineapple. Sprinkle surface with shredded cheese. Sprinkle cinnamon over surface. Use hands to slightly press all ingredients into the puff pastry. Cut pastry using a pastry cutter or sharp knife into one-inch strips. Fold each strip together pinching ends together with filling in the middle. Twist each strip several times and place on parchment lined baking sheet Brush twists lightly with egg. Sprinkle generously with 1/2 of the brown sugar. Turn twists over and brush lightly with egg and sprinkle with remaining brown sugar. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until brown and caramelized, flipping twists one time at the 20 minute time mark. Cool on wire rack about five minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

If you have a silicone baking mat, you can use that in place of the parchment paper. You will lose a little bit of the filling when twisting them, but that is okay. There is plenty of filling to spare.
